Unit Electric

The new pre-engineered Unit Electric warehouse building provides 36,000 square feet of new area, incorporating a welding shop, two fabrication areas, paint booth, office and staff areas. The staff areas include a new lunchroom, exterior lunch patio, lifestyle room and gym. Fabrication floors are clean and well lit, and the welding shop incorporates state of the art extraction equipment to maintain air quality. Eight 18’ x 20’ overhead doors allow the workspaces to be opened fully to the exterior when desired.

The building is well insulated and extremely energy efficient, with its main heating and cooling being supplied by an innovative earth tube system. Dual 5’-0” diameter corrugated metal pipes draw air through the ground and into the building year round, providing a high volume of fresh air which has been pre-heated or pre-cooled to ambient ground temperature, at roughly 15 degrees Celsius. Work areas are top-lit with prismatic skylights, and all parts of the building are illuminated with high efficiency LED lighting.
