The Shatford Centre

Greyback is proud to have been involved in providing Construction Management Services to complete the preservation and restoration of The Shatford, one of Penticton's finest heritage buildings, built in 1921.

The Shatford Centre is a Community Enterprise, Strategic Partnership dedicated to creative well-being.

"It has been an honour to participate directly in the re-energizing of this heritage buliding. Though working onsite for the past nine months was not physically comfortable... the rewards far outweighed the challenges.

I admire and appreciate the many skilled trades-people who worked on the project. Their ability to work in a physically challenging environment and still get the job done is a great example of resourcefulness and determination.

Though methods for construction and mechanical and electrical standards have changed over the years, there is recognition for the era when Shatford was built and an appreciation for its age.
